Functions as a Specialty Treatment Program Specialist within a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Federal Correctional Facility. Provides group and individual counseling to inmates with the psychological problems targeted by the specialty program. This Archaeologist (State Cultural Resources Specialist) position serves on a NRCS State Resource Conservation Staff and is located in a State Office of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and is responsible for guidance and assistance to field personnel and resource technical teams for conservation, protection, and enhancement of cultural resources, including Native American and Alaska Native issues, encountered in all NRCS programs and activities. This position is located within a National Forest. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to the heritage resources staff. Conducts inventories of Forest cultural resources in areas of proposed Forest Service projects. Researches reference materials such as State and National register files, historic documents, archeological reports, maps and aerial photos, and interviews source individuals concerning project areas. Performs on-the-ground area surveys for surface and subsurface evidence of historic and prehistoric archeological remains. Identifies and records historic and prehistoric cultural resource sites.
