The primary purpose of this position is to to serve as the single point of contact and technical authority within the School of Systems and Logistics (AFIT/LS) for the school's master schedule, classroom resource allocation and control, and intranet information systems and to act as inventory manager for assigned audiovisual equipment assets. 1. Performs and Manages Scheduler Responsibilities. 2. Manages and Schedules School Facilities, Classrooms and Equipment. 3. Manages Lodging and Transportation Scheduling Duties. 4. Manages and Provides Educational Program Technical Information. 5. Serves as project manager for the school's SharePoint-based intranet management information system. This position is temporary and has a Not-to-Exceed date. However, this position may be extended to the fullest legally allowable period without further competition. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT (IOR): EDUCATION: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes managing the development and coordination of integrated academic schedules, student lodging, and training facility logistics, serving as a SharePoint site administrator responsible for custom portal development, web parts configuration, and database management. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official transcripts FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
